Valves

The discharge valve is the most critical component on any IBC tote. It controls product flow, prevents leaks, and determines compatibility with your dispensing equipment. We stock replacement valves in all standard IBC configurations.

2" Butterfly Valve

The industry standard IBC discharge valve. A quarter-turn handle rotates an internal disc to control flow. Compact design, easy to operate with one hand, and provides a reliable seal. Compatible with 2" NPS (National Pipe Straight) threads found on virtually all IBC totes. Available in polypropylene body with EPDM or Viton seals for broad chemical compatibility.

Key Specifications

  • Thread: 2" NPS (S60x6 DIN 61)
  • Body: Polypropylene
  • Seal: EPDM (standard) or Viton
  • Pressure rating: 10 PSI

IBC Compatibility Guide

Not all IBC accessories are universal. Thread standards, valve sizes, and opening dimensions vary by manufacturer and region. Here is what you need to know to order the right parts.

Valve Thread Standard

Most US-market IBCs use the S60x6 (also called DIN 61 or 2" NPS coarse) thread. European IBCs may use S75x6 or S100x8. Check your existing valve thread before ordering replacements or adapters.

Fill Opening Size

Standard is 150mm (6"). Some IBCs have 200mm (8") or larger openings. Measure the interior diameter of your fill ring before ordering caps or liners.

Chemical Compatibility

Match gasket and seal materials to your product chemistry. EPDM works for water and most food products. Viton is needed for fuels and solvents. PTFE provides the broadest compatibility.
